  My eyes got big.

Emma said, “Don’t be negative. It pays well, too.” She told me how much and I almost fainted.

I said, “Well, I am an actor. I could pretend I use it. Kind of show my range.”

She said, “You can’t lie about it.”

“But I don’t take Viagra. Didn’t you just notice?”

Emma smiled, and her eyelids half closed as she said, “Yes I did, and I thought we might continue in the bedroom.”

She kissed me again, and her mouth was warm and soft and wet. She started with her hands on my chest, moved them down to my stomach, then kept going.

I said, “You wouldn’t happen to have any samples, would you?”

She said, “On the nightstand by the bed.”

I said, “I guess it’s like studying for a role.”

  “I have six of them.”

  “Six?”

  “Uh-huh.”

She rose from the couch and pulled me along by the hand.

As we walked down the hall I said, “The things I do for my art.”

Emma laughed as she turned off the lights. “Oh Ronny,” she said, “You’re fantastic!”
